Artisit Intro
Emilie Biggar is a Melbourne-based stand-up comedian and advocate for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HOH) community. With a sharp wit and an unfiltered perspective, Emilie delivers hilarious and insightful performances that challenge perceptions and celebrate the quirks of everyday life. Born Hard of Hearing, Emilie brings her lived experience to the stage, weaving humour with storytelling to share the realities of navigating a world that often fails to listen. Her comedy explores themes of dating, communication mishaps, and the absurdity of social norms, making her a fresh and unique voice in the Australian comedy scene. Emilie has performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF), where she featured in the 2025 show Toil, Trouble & Trauma, alongside Bell Woolley and Jayne Steer. The show blended humour with resilience, offering audiences a mix of personal storytelling and sharp observational comedy. She has also graced the stage at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, co-starring in Hear/See No Evil with Jeremy Moses in 2024. The show was a dynamic exploration of sensory experiences, blending stand-up with interactive elements that engaged both Deaf and hearing audiences.
